This week, we've decided to listen to two of them instead of JS Bach: Johann Christian and Carl Phillip Emmanuel.
After the half hour, we will also be listening to Antonin Dvorak.
Today's selection of music is entirely in a single key: Eb Major.
The works from Bach include two pieces of "Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro" and three pieces from his "Keyboard Concerto".
Our featured artist for the day is Jean Sibelius with his Symphony #5 (in Eb Major).

Today on Mid-Day Bach, we celebrate the birthday of cellist Yo-Yo Ma with his recordings of J.S. Bach's Sonata's for Cello and Harpsichord (No. 1 and 2).
At the half-hour, we switch gears a bit with some comical tunes from composers Brahms, Offenbach, and Lumbye.
Today's show features our continuation of Johann Sebastian Bach's 'The Art of Fugue' as we listen to the four double/triple fugues (#8-11) and two mirror fugues (#12-13).

With the rain coming down outside of the radio studio, today we look at many composers different takes on the rainy weather in their music, in addition to our continuing listen-through of the Brandenburg Concertos and Bach's Inventions.
We will also dive into some orchestral Disney/Pixar songs today, as it is the anniversary of the book "Alice in Wonderland" which went on to become a classic Disney movie.

Hello and Welcome Back to Mid-Day Bach!
Today's show will feature a collection of pieces from Johann Sebastian Bach for the first 20, move into a half hour from Billy Joel's "Fantasies and Delusions" in between, and finish with 10 minutes from Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach.
In the first half of music from J.S. Bach, we will continue our tour of his Cello Suites, this week with his complete 2nd Suite in D Minor.
During our tour of Billy Joel's music we will be listening to the first four pieces in the album Fantasies and Delusions. These pieces are named "Reverie", "Waltz #1", "Aria", and "Invention in C Minor".
We will then complete the show with C.P.E. Bach's Symphony in E Minor.
Starting off again with a selection from J.S. Bach's Cello Suites, today's episode starts with Cello Suite No.5 in C Minor.
Following the 3rd movement of Cello Suite No. 5, this show will feature a selection of Johannes Brahms, featuring his "3 Intermezzi, Opus 117, No. 1-3"
We will then venture into the classical music of movie scores, featuring The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, with their orchestral versions of the songs featured in Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather".
As custom, we will then end the show with a final feature from our name-sake J.S. Bach, by completing the final 3 movements in his 5th Cello Suite.
Today's selections will feature from three composers and four compositions, starting and ending with our namesake: J.S. Bach, before diving into one of Lugwig Van Beethoven's piano sonatas, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's suites, before ending with a piece from our other namesake- a short piece from C.P.E. Bach.
